New First Class Transportation 

MISSION STATEMENT

 

The mission of New First Class Transportation is twofold. The first mission is to serve the general public in a fair and honest way. The second is to do this from a professional perspective. While performing these tasks, it is hoped for and expected that a decent profit will be gathered from our efforts. There are many problems with the current taxi organizations in existence and it is hoped that by adding an alternative to the services out there, the public will really appreciate our efforts.

 

BUSINESS ORIENTATION

 

The business of New First Class Transportation is of transportation. The business currently transports people from New York to Allentown and from Allentown to New York City. We also want to expand our services to Bethlehem and Philadelphia and offer services to recreational parks in the area of Allentown and Philadelphia.

 

MARKETING PLAN

 

Demographics

The amount of transportation business in the Lehigh area is strong and growing. The population in the neighborhood area exceeds 100,000 people and the community is dynamic and getting more vibrant with each passing day. The entire area has a low unemployment rate, a diversified economy, and wonderful year round events which attract tourist dollars and people to the region.

 

Customer Profile

 

Our taxi company attracts one type of business. That is direct consumer business. The direct consumer accounts are people from throughout the are who need transportation service for various reasons, to go back  family home or, get to work in the new York City area and New Jersey, etc. Consumer accounts are paid immediately. The customer never comes to the place of business of the transportation service, all wagons (bus) are dispatched to the customer’s place of business/residence and the sole representative view that the customer has of the bus service is through the cleanliness of the vehicle and the driver, and the promptness of their response. Any value added services just enhance these basic considerations of the customer.

 

Need for Services

 

There is a pressing need for reliable public transportation in the Lehigh area and in the Washington Heights area and New Jersey; bus service is not a viable option for many people due to the limited scope of operation of bus service in the area. The buses here do not run to the proposed destination and also are very restricted as to routes and times during the weekend and off−peak times. Also customer has to travel very far to use the bus service. As a result, private transportation is always needed for those whom the bus cannot serve and for those who need customized services such as pick customer at their home or business.

 

Customer Service

 

Customer service is a priority at New First Class Transportation. The customer cares most about the promptness of the bus that he or she is riding in. One way to ensure that customers would be served in a much better fashion would be to implement a zoned bus dispatch system. A zoned system is essentially a first come/first served system of dispatching that eliminates much of the delay that occurs during ordinary dispatching. There are no real drawbacks to the system except that it would take a short while for drivers to get used to such a system. It is the quickest and easiest way to operate a taxi company.
